Without objectives, a plan is nothing. Goals are nothing to measure achievement without information. Knowing which metrics to monitor is essential in order to know how well you are doing.
What are the Metrics?
Metrics are quantitative assessment measures widely used for performance or manufacturing evaluation, comparison, and monitoring. Typically, a set of metrics will be used to construct a dashboard that is regularly reviewed by management or analysts to retain performance evaluations, views, and business strategies.

Effective measurement is also essential to your boss or business CEO in constructing a case for social media. If someone asks you how to help drive income, you want a good answer. You might discover your social media plan pushed to the curb otherwise. Check the following areas:
1.) Growth of followers
The larger your tribe, the better. Pay attention to:
- Your complete count of follower / fan.
- How quickly you acquire fresh fans/followers.
- Whether you like it or not, shares and other relationships increase with the development of followers
Some Tactics Increasing Follower Social Media:
- Curate. Share precious content and demonstrate that you are a credible source of data about quality.
- Engage. Put yourself out and join social media conversations.
- Follow and share social media buttons on your blog and website.
- Be compatible. Would-be adherents turn away from stagnant social accounts.
- Start a group (or both) on LinkedIn. Hubspot has a great guide to building an efficient community.
- Building a wonderful product or providing an excellent service. Social media will not conceal a weak product and will not compensate for it.
2.) Traffic of reference.
For most businesses, this is probably a large one. You typically have to drive traffic back to your site before you can drive conversions.
Measure Referral Traffic:
Google Analytics is the simplest way to monitor this. Click Acquisition > Social > Network Referrals to log into your account.
3.) Conversions
It’s not necessarily simple to drive conversions from social media traffic. This is no excuse for failure (not if you want to maintain your lights on and a roof above your head), as we said previously.
4.) Engagement
Social media provides opportunities to connect with your audience every day. It can sometimes be difficult to measure the direct monetary value of all those likes, comments, and shares. But they have a positive feeling for your company and are working to strengthen your brand.
